KMET introduces two programs in Kisumu County

KMET together with other members of the western srhr alliance held a briefing meeting with County Health Management Team, Kisumu County at Kisumu County Hospital Hall. The meeting which was attended by both Sub County and county health team had a purpose of introducing a new program dubbed GUSO to the CHMT.
GUSO is a program targeting the young people on sexual reproductive and health rights and information. The meeting elaborated to the CMHT, the role and area of coverage of each member of the consortium in the program.
Speaking on behalf of the county team and the CMHT, Dr. Rosemary Obara RH coordinator gave a go head for implementation of Guso. She further stated that the program has come at the right time for the adolescent and young people of Kisumu County.
In addition, KMET in partnership with Pharm Access introduced a health financing program called M-tiba at the same event. M-tiba is a wallet for saving for health care service payment that target vulnerable, underserved and low income communities in Kenya. KMET would roll out the program in four counties.
