KMET Overview

KMET is an indeginous Kisumu-based non governmental organization established to promote quality health and education services across Kenya. KMET was founded in 1995 and registered under the Trustees Act in 1996. KMET is committed to serving underserved communities in the spheres of Maternal, Child and Family Health. KMET operates in 35 of the 47 counties in Kenya as well as regionally in East and Central Africa. KMET is managed through a Board of Trustees which ensures that the projects are managed according to KMET policies and The Laws of The Republic of Kenya.  Read More

 

AWARDS

Over the past 20 years, KMET has become a hub of health innovations, including a vocational training center for vulnerable girls, Health Financing to improve quality in the private health sector and a village micro financing program to sustain community health volunteers that create demand for health services. KMET has trained and created a network of over 350 public and private health providers, drawn from underserved and rural communities to expand access to quality maternal and adolescent sexual and reproductive health services including post-abortion care.
